2017…whew, what I year! I was just telling a friend yesterday that I think I might be traveled out for a while. That is HUGE coming from me who LOVES traveling, has lived in 4 different countries, and visited to countless places. This year was definitely the year of travel for us as we got to go near and far to photograph some incredible weddings. From Texas to ITALY, from Charlottesville to Charleston, from Asheville to Charlotte, we have loved every minute of it. Well, except the minutes I was missing my babies which is why this winter will be a nice break free of travel.
Nonetheless, it has been an amazing year and I am so thankful. read more
In just a few minutes, I am headed out to lunch with our vendor team from this shoot to celebrate all it’s success and making the cover of Carolina Bride (!!!). If somehow you missed that, check out my first post here. In light of that, I thought this would be the perfect day to share the 2nd half of our shoot and a little bit about how it came about.
If you haven’t heard by now, I got the amazing opportunity to shoot the COVER of Carolina Bride’s Spring issue.I have known for a couple of months that this post was coming, but I’ve struggled with putting together the words to express how I feel about it… Seriously… SO.MANY.FEELS. Being featured in this magazine is a desire for many of my brides (shoutout to Katie Kelly & Tyler whose wedding was featured in this issue!) and for a photographer who was born and raised in this town and looked as this magazine since I was a little girl, shooting the cover was a dream come true. I honestly couldn’t be more proud.

With Spring just around the corner I thought I would take the time to share an editorial feature that I had the opportunity to shoot for Carolina Bride for their Spring 2016 issue. I hoped to share this MUCH earlier than now, but once the issue came out, I was in full blown wedding season and it just never happened… So now is just as good a time as any! read more
I am so excited to finally be able to share this shoot after having to wait for it to be published! This wedding inspiration shoot was a labor of love and I am thrilled with the way it turned out. My wonderful and talented friend, Mandi with Social 10 Events worked so hard to produce a style that was so fitting for my ideal bride and we couldn’t be more pleased with the final product. Icing on the cake is that it was published in both local and national editorials. Carolina Bride featured this shoot in their 50th Anniversary Issue and it was recently featured on the gorgeous Ruffled blog. read more
