Jaclyn and Kevin’s wedding was so elegant and unique. I adored Jaclyn’s style which was a combination of pure elegance with a little boho mixed in. This pretty lady reminded me of Audry Hepburn or Jackie O’ and her dress is still one of my all-time favorites. But what stood out more than her syle was Jaclyn’s love for Kevin. These two were just adorable and it was such a joy to photograph them. The story of their meeting is one of the books so I thought I would share. Enjoy this precious couple and dont forget to check out the full list of vendors who made this day happen at the bottom of this post.

Jaclyn’s Words

“Kevin and I met 4 years ago at work in New York City. It still amazes me to this day the numerous decisions we each had to make separately to find each other. Kevin was born and raised in upstate New York while I moved around as an Air Force Brat until age 7 when we settled in a small town in Georgia. Kevin went to the University at Buffalo, worked at his grandfather’s car dealership full time for a year, then headed to the Big Apple to work in advertising sales. I went to the University of Georgia and decided that if I didn’t make a huge move right out of college, I would never do it. So, I headed to NYC to also work in advertising sales at the same company – little did I know, I would meet my future husband there. It wasn’t all sunshine and butterflies – I won’t lie. When Kevin and I started hanging out in the same friend group, I was actually dating someone else and about to move back to Atlanta with our company. Fate had something in mind though. Fast forward a few months, Kevin and I had our first kiss in Times Square (worst place on Earth to a NYC Resident, but will always have a special place in my heart as the location of my last first kiss), and I headed down to Atlanta one month later. I completely dismissed the option of long distance, but Kevin didn’t let that stop him. He continued pursuing me day after day – talking to me over IM at work and for hours after that at home each night – until I finally agreed to let him come visit. We did long distance for 15 months until I inevitably transferred back to NY with our company. Kevin and I had our first “home”, a perfect little apartment on the Upper West Side. We spent the next two years working our butts off, enjoying bagels on the weekends, and taking walks along the Hudson. We knew NYC wasn’t for us long term, so we talked about where we would love to go, and through a lot of thought and consideration, Charlotte NC would be our next destination!”
