A couple months ago, I got the opportunity to photograph Caroline and Knox’s engagement session in Uptown. We had an instant connection because of Knox’s name being the same as my youngest little boy. (Love this name!) They decided to go with a sunrise session and the light was absolutely perfect, not to mention how beautiful our Queen City was looking! These two are getting married in Caroline’s homestate of Texas next year and I am thrilled for them. read more
When I met with Patricia in May of last year, over a year out from her Sept 2016 wedding, I knew from the beginning that she was a bride that I had to work with. Her style fit with mine perfectly, and I loved that beautiful details mattered to her while also being very type A and organized. Just like me! Patricia and Devin’s wedding was soft and airy and so down to earth. I loved every part of it. We got to photograph their bride and groom portraits in the best light of the day and they have turned out to be some of my all-time favorites. I can’t believe I am blogging on a Monday morning! This is serious commitment to getting back to blogging this month. I rarely shoot seniors as weddings are my main thing, but when I get the opportunity I absolutely love it! It is like shooting models which is always fun. Taylor was no exception last year and looked beautiful in front of my camera. I’m excited to share this session this week since I get to head back to this area to photograph another senior tomorrow.

Natalia & Richie’s wedding day was nothing short of amazing. In addition to the the fact that these two are kind of the most beautiful, they are so incredibly sweet and down to earth. Natalia’s details were stunning (that bolero she is wearing? LOVE) and The Ballantyne Hotel pulled off such a classy wedding reception. It was a sweet time to have all of Richie’s family and all of Natalia’s family together, some meeting for the first time since many of Natalia’s family members came from Spain. I feel so honored to have been apart of such a special day. read more
I really can’t say enough about these two beautiful people. Becky and Brendan were such a joy to work with and get to know. I knew this wedding was going to be great the day I met with Becky and I saw how down to earth yet organized she was. Boy, did she blow me away with her wedding design! Lindsay & Adam’s engagement session was out of this world. I absolutely love this couple and how down to earth they are. They are both teachers and are working in some of the harder conditions in schools here in NC and they just have a heart of gold when sharing about it. Our location could not have been better. We shot at the Belk family’s Modern Farmhouse in South Carolina. Everything about this place was unreal, it was as if Joanna Gaines designed it herself. read more
Katy and Brad have got me hooked on the brunch wedding! Everything about this wedding was absolutely beautiful and delicious. I mean seriously, bacon and french toast is a welcomed treat in our house any time of day. Katy put so much time and effort into every detail of this day and it was an absolute joy to photograph. That being said, one of my favorite parts of the day had nothing to do with the details. Katy and Brad’s First Look was so natural and sweet. (See below) It is clear how much these two love each other and how happy they were to be getting married. That is why I do this job. Even after shooting dozens of weddings, those moments still make me tear up. Lauren and Ryan are such a FUN couple and we had a great time at their engagement session. I met Lauren a few years ago when I photographed her best friend’s wedding and was thrilled when she got in touch with me after her recent engagement to Ryan. I did not meet Lauren and Kyle in person until their wedding day because they are living in Arizona, but after chatting with them over the phone it felt like we had known each another for years. These two are just so down to earth. Lauren wanted to have her wedding in her home state of NC, so they worked hard to plan this wedding with so many beautiful details from many miles away. It was my first time shooting at Little River Vineyards and I loved every inch of of the space. I also loved the emphasis Lauren put on florals as well as the incredibly beautiful dress!
