As I mentioned yesterday, beautiful vineyard, beautiful light, beautiful couple. Enough said.

Enjoy!

Told you this was a fun group!

Zeynep and Bruce were married at Childress Vineyards on a GORGEOUS day in June. They are such a fun couple to work with and their bridal party and family proved to be the same. From our initial meeting at Starbucks, I knew that this would be great wedding and it was more than I expected. You can truly feel how excited these two are about marrying one another just by looking at these images. Zeynep is originally from Turkey and it was so lovely to seem some of her Turkish traditions incorporated into the day.

Stay tuned tomorrow for Part II. Beautiful vineyard, beautiful light, beautiful couple- you don’t want to miss it!

I had a great time with Jessica and Kyle at their engagement session! For the first half of the session, we ran around the city and stopped at various spots that I had scouted or that stood out along the way. This made for such variety in the backgrounds and locations that we had to work with and I love that. The 2nd half of the shoot was geared toward a common love that Jessica and Kyle share- sports! We started out by reenacting their first date of tailing gating before a game and finished up at the Panthers stadium. Jessica and Kyle were a little nervous about being in front of the camera at first, but I think they look like naturals in these images, wouldn’t you agree?

Jessica and Kyle, thanks for such a great time. I am so looking forward to your wedding in October!

Jessica and Kyle shared some Dales Pale Ale on their first date so I suggested they bring a couple cans along. I love it when couples incorporate their story into their session, it makes things so personal.

Angela Tucker is looking for a 2nd shooter to shoot alongside during weddings. I hope to add one or two people to my list of shooters. I like to shoot with the same people as much as possible so they know how I operate during a wedding and vice-verse, so this would be an on going relationship and I would plan to use you regularly. This is a paid position- as mentioned you would be shooting along side me, but also going out on your own while shooting the groom and groomsman and any details I might ask you to capture. If chosen, I will ask you to assist myself and my current second shooter in at least two weddings in order to see how we work together. This is a great portfolio building opportunity!

Some requirements-

  • Must have your own equipment at lease 1-2 professional lenses.
  • Must be able to shoot in manual mode
  • Must shoot in RAW format
  • Must be able to work casually and comfortably with people of the same and opposite sex, as well as have fun!

If you are interested please email a link to your portfolio or at least 10 downsized portfolio images to angela{at}angela-tucker{dot}com or contact me through the contact tab.

…and because every post needs an image, here is a couple of my little peanut. Except he is not so little anymore, just turned 11 months old here. 🙂

About a month ago, I got the pleasure of hosting a Storybook Themed Baby Shower for my best friend, Amy along with our other best friend, Heather. Since I am approaching the big 3-0 this year, I kinda feel like using the term ‘best friend’ should be retired, but there truly is no other way to describe these girls and how much they mean to me. Amy’s sweet girl, Lanier Elizabeth (Lanie Beth) is due to arrive anytime and we are so excited to meet her! Amy is just now approaching 36 weeks but because she has not had the most typical pregnancy (she went into labor at 27 weeks, it was stopped, and she has been on bed rest ever since) we are so thankful that Lanie Beth has held out this long and we are totally okay with her making her appearance anytime!

Because I was hosting the shower, greeting guests, and tending to my baby who was feeling just enough under the weather to want his mommy the entire time, the 6 images you see above were the only ones I was able to get at the shower. Luckily I had the chance to get outside with Chris and Amy and get some maternity shots of the 2 of them and I love how they turned out. Is Amy not so adorable pregnant?

Tomorrow is a big day for me. I am headed out of town tomorrow morning with some ladies from church to the Gospel Coalition Women’s Conference and we won’t be back until Sunday. This is not the first time I have been to something like this, and is not why it’s a big day…. it’s because this will be the first time I am leaving Oliver for more than a night. FOUR days seems like such a long time! But I know this is good for me and Oli will be fine, which is why I haven’t backed out yet. Let’s just hope that we can get down the road without me completely breaking down. Whew… Is anyone else out there going to the conference? If not, you can watch the talks online if you are interested by clicking here.

But before I go, I wanted to share the most precious little girl in the world with you. Introducing Charlotte Lucille McClellan. Charlotte is the daughter of someone very special to me, Laurin. God brought Laurin into my life many many years ago but we didn’t really get to know each other until last year. It has been such a joy getting close with her and she is such a fantastic mama to Little Charlotte, as these images so clearly display.

It’s amazing how just a touch from mommy makes everything okay.

I can’t believe it has been a year since we met Tim and Jessica. We knew from the first day we walked into the same birthing class with these two that we’d be friends. And we were. I got the chance to photograph sweet Lily’s Newborn Session and now she is almost a year old! I can’t believe how fast time flies.

Tim and Jessica have such a passion for parenting as you will see so clearly in these pictures. Their precious girl is so blessed to be loved by these two.

Enjoy!

Sorry it has taken me so long to get the 2nd half of Dayna and Mike’s wedding posted! Being pregnant with a 10 month old can be crazy at times… But I think you will find these images were worth the wait.

Thank you Dayna & Mike for such a wonderful day. I know you will have a long and happy marriage!

Love this of the bridesmaids with Mike. Hilarious!

We got some time alone with the bride and groom after their send off. That was truly priceless! Such great shots of the two of them together!

We are headed out of town this morning, but before I go…. Meet Dayna & Mike.

Dayna and Mike are one of the nicest couples I have ever worked with! It was such a joy to photograph their sweet wedding here in Charlotte. Once we met Dayna and Mike’s family, everything made sense. I love shooting weddings where the family feels like my own and that was definitely the case here.

Stay tuned the first of the week for Part II of this gorgeous day!

The bride putting her dress on is one of my favorite parts!

Mike gave Dayna a journal he had been writing to her for years. He started it very soon after they began dating. It was the sweetest pre-wedding gift I have ever seen.

As promised, here is what’s to come in the coming days and weeks!
