I get the opportunity to photograph some of the most adorable babies in the world! You may remember Shep’s Newborn Session. Well it has already been half a year and Shep is 6 months old! He is still wowing the camera and being a complete stud. Devon and Jonathan are such great parents and just had a good time with their little guy during our session. And Shep was SO smiley the whole time. It was pretty perfect.
Enjoy this cute family!
Photographing Jackie’s Senior Portraits was pretty much like doing a modeling session. She girl is a NATURAL in front of the camera and that combined with her amazing style and gorgeousness (is that a word?), this shoot was a dream for me. Really made me think I would like to photograph Seniors more often, so if you know any be sure to send them my way! I had a really hard time narrowing down these images which is why I am showing over 30! Jackie, you really were a joy to get to know and you have a bright future ahead. Good luck at Liberty and please stay in touch!
Enjoy this gorgeous girl. 🙂
I have loved watching the Fisher family grow in the past 2 years. I think I have photographed each of their milestones since their son Maddex was born. I recently got the opportunity to meet their newest little one, Stella and take some newborn portraits. We got some sweet shots with a special gift that Stella’s grandpa gives to little girls in the family, a Raggedy Ann and Andy Doll. I have so many great memories with these dolls as a child and it was fun to see them again. Stella’s big brother Maddex did amazing during the family shots and gave me his adorable smile anytime I asked. I really like shooting these in-home sessions, they are just so intimate and personal and this one was no exception. Enjoy this sweet family.
I can’t beleive it has been over 2 years since I shot Liam’s newborn portraits and now I get to share his baby sister, Cora! My repeat clients make me feel like life is going by so quickly, didn’t I just see these two for maternity portraits just a week or so ago…??? Katie and Michael are such a great parents and it is always a joy to be in their home. Liam was amazing with his baby sister, especially since he’s TWO and that gives him every excuse not to cooperate at all. What a big boy he was! And little Miss Cora… she was a angel. I don’t think I heard a peep out of her until the last ten minutes of our time together. What a sweet little beauty she is, I just love every image in this session. Enjoy.
I have been photographing Logan since he was inside his mama’s belly. I can’t beleive he is already 6 months old, and looking very dapper in his fedora might I add! I love these shots of Marivi and Mat with their adorable little guy. I know it’s going to be a blink before we see him at a year old. Time, please stop going so quickly!!
Enjoy this sweet family.
I’m just as excited to share Part II of Andrew and Savannah Alexander Homestead wedding as I was to share Part I. There are so many gorgeous portraits of these two in this post, I just couldn’t narrow them down. Andrew and Savannah had a stunning Rolls Royce pick them up and we got the opportunity to do some additional portraits at sundown with the car. It was an great combination and they tuned out amazing so be sure to scroll all the way down to see.
See the couple below? On this very same weekend last year I was photographing John’s sister’s wedding as this very same location, when Lauren went in labor with their son, David. She made it to the hospital and delivered him within 3 hours. We had such a good time recounting the experience!
Savannah and Andrew’s wedding was my first wedding of the season and it could not have been a more perfect day. These two were so easy to work with and are absolute naturals in front of the camera. The wedding took place at the beautiful Alexander Homestead which offered so many gorgeous backdrops. My favorite thing about the day though, was how in love Andrew and Savannah are… particularly how smitten Andrew is with Savannah. I love photographing love like this and it is such a reminder of why I love this job so much. Congrats Andrew and Savannah, it was such a joy to be apart of your day.
Oh sweet Sarah… What a blessing this girl and her man have been to my family since we have gotten to know them. Sarah is our neighbor along with the rest of her and Tommy’s family and we love the whole McClellan bunch so much (as do our boys!). Unfortunately, I already had a wedding on the books for Sarah and Tommy’s wedding date, but we thought it would be fun to put together a vintage bridal shoot with Sarah’s great aunt’s wedding dress. I LOVE LOVE how it turned out and Sarah was definitely a natural in front of my camera. My sister Amy from Carmen Carman Salon e Spa did a fabulous job on her hair. Stay tuned tomorrow when I will post some vintage processed black and while images from this session.
Congrats Tommy & Sarah!
Oh my goodness, I LOVE Misty and Shane! After being on maternity leave, I was so ready to pick up my camera and get to shooting again. These two made it so easy and totally reminded me why I love my job so much. We started out in Misty and Shane’s adorable backyard tucked away in the heart of Plaza Midwood. We then went to the area around where they had their first date, Central Coffee. We also did a few shots with Misty and Shane’s beloved cats. I don’t typically post a lot of pet pictures but given the type of cats and how much these two love them, I couldn’t help myself. I’m not sure the cats were a fan of me, but I definitely enjoyed having them in front of my camera.
During the session, Misty shared with me that she had always hated having her picture taken. I hear this a lot and I usually take it with a grain of salt, but when she shared that she had NEVER been in a single one of her high school yearbooks because of this, I knew she was serious. What an honor to be able to take Misty’s picture after so many years of her not wanting to be in any pictures at all. Misty, you rocked the camera and you are seriously BEAUTIFUL. Shane you didn’t do too bad either.
Enjoy this gorgeous couple!
I had hoped to get to this posted long before now, but I am now and mom of 3… and it’s no joke. THREE still sounds so crazy to me! ‘Baby Knox’ as his big brothers affectionately call him, came into our life on February 23rd at 11:41am after a long, LONG, 15hr labor. I am not going to go into his birth story now mainly because it was incredibly difficult for me and even reliving it through writing is not something I really want to do. For now. Hopefully I will have to energy to write about it in the next few weeks. Although his labor was my toughest yet, Knox has been a dream since… He regularly sleeps 4.5-5 hr stretches at night and is just a super chill baby. As long as he is not hungry or tired, he likes to sit back and watch the craziness that is his family. I love him so much already.
I’ll be honest. Having 3 has been a pretty tough transition for us. When Canaan came along and Oli was only 15 months, everyone told us how hard it would be at first. Yet, it was surprisingly easy… we got into a good routine with them and settled into life with two pretty quickly. So when I got pregnant with Knox, although we did not plan to have another baby that soon, I thought things would be the same way. Not. At. All. Knox is a great baby but still has to be fed every 2.5-3hrs and there are only 2 of us, at times just 1… me. And 3 of them. I think my biggest struggle is consistently feeling like someone is being neglected and not being able to tend to all three at one time. I think it is probably more me than them though. Oli and Canaan have both fallen in love with their baby brother and love to give him kisses constantly. Although this has been a tough transition, we are slowly but surely getting there and I love that these three boys are going to grow up so close in age. I pray daily that they’ll best friends for life.
Just a little about Knox’s name since it was a pretty unique experience this time… Both of my other boys have family names as their middle name and we had originally planned the same for Knox. But, a couple days before Knox’s due date some of our closest friends from our church, our Pastor’s family, unexpectedly lost their 13 year old son, Ezekiel. This was obviously devastating for them but also for our entire church family as we are a very close knit group. Matt and I had never gone through anything like this as a married couple, it was such a rough week and it still very hard at times. All the while I was hoping and waiting for a baby to come along. So on my due date Matt and I went to run some errands while his mom watched the boys. At lunch we both shared with each other how God had put it on our hearts separately to change Knox’s middle name to Ezekiel. At that time, we agreed to continue to pray about it and make the final decision when he was born. Soon after this conversation, Steve (Ezekiel’s dad) posted about some things he had found on Ezekiel’s iPod. I read the post with tears streaming down my face in awe of how a 13 year old boy could write such profound things. God had clearly captured his heart. I knew from that moment that I not only wanted to name Knox after Ezekiel to honor Zeke’s memory, but I also wanted to teach all 3 of my boys about the young man Ezekiel was for years to come in hopes that they too would have some of the same Godly qualities. What a role model Ezekiel is for them. Here is a small excerpt from what Steve shared,
“And then he wrote his goals in life. There were only six…but they were all so profound. 1. Be a great dad one day 2. Be the man my dad thinks I am. 3. Be a man that doesn’t think about himself but others first 4. Believe that if I trust in The Lord I will be in paradise 5. Be inspirational to other people 6. Remember that everything I have is because of the Lord. He entitled this document “Things I will do if I have a good life.”
If you would like to read the entire post it can be found here.
So if you’ve made it this far, here are a few more pics I shot in the hospital of our precious new guy, Knox Ezekiel Tucker.
And of course no post is complete without a couple shots of my big boys. Love them so much.
