Kathryn and Evan are one of the most genuine couples I have ever met. It was so easy to be around them and as you can see by these images, they have an amazing comfort level with each other. I shot their engagement session in the fall at their wedding venue, the wonderful Farm at Brusharbor, and also Katheryn’s grandfather’s land which I am thrilled to go back to for her bridal session. I am still trying to catch up from all the shoots I did this fall but I am slowly getting there! It was a windy day but I love the way Katheryn’s hair is blowing in a few of these shots. Katheryn and Evan, I can’t wait for your wedding in August!
Amber and Bob are some of my favorite types of clients. They are so kind, down to earth, and just plain easy to be around. When they chose me to photograph their wedding this November, I was absolutely thrilled. Amber is from Charlotte like I am and when we met for the first time we even figured out that we grew up in the same neighborhood! To most true Charlotteans the Uptown (we call it downtown) holds some special memories, so for their engagement session we enjoyed running around the city to some of the most meaningful places to these two. I have a feeling you may recognize some of these spots.
Enjoy!
You may have noticed the new look and feel as you have made your way around the website. That’s right, we have re-branded! I am so thrilled with my new brand, the logo, colors and everything that goes along with it. It definitely fits the style of my photography and the experience you receive with Photography by Angela Tucker. Love love love it!
And so in celebration I am giving away a FREE mini-session. This contest is going on on Instagram so head on over to @photographybyangelatucker and find out the details on how to enter. There also an Instragram link on the bottom of the homepage.
I’d love to hear what you think!
Joanna and Johnny’s engagement session was so fun. These two went all out when it came to their vintage style and I loved every minute of shooting this session. Johnny had some connections that led us to being able to use these fabulous classic cars and Joanna did a wonderful job on making sure her hair, make-up, and entire look was perfect. In addition to these two looking great, they were so easy to work with and definitely had no problem getting comfortable in front of my camera. Joanna and Johnny, you two are gems. I can’t wait for your wedding day!
I met Jason and Jenna at the Christmas party of some friends from Matt’s work. The last thing I was thinking going into that party was wedding photography, in fact I had just wrapped my 2014 wedding edits and had started my 8 week winter break. But when I met Jenna and Jason there was an instant connection. I soon learned that they were engaged and they that I was a wedding photographer. We would chat about their wedding and then I would say that I did not want to talk business stuff all night, but before we knew it we were back on the wedding train. I just can’t help it, weddings are in my bones and Jason and Jenna are the perfect couple.
Fast forward a few months and I was finally getting the opportunity to get these two in front of my camera. We booked right around the time when the peach orchards would be in bloom so we thought we’d take advantage of this beautiful location. Oh-my-goodness I cannot tell you how much I love these images. May even be my favorite engagement session to date.
Jason and Jenna, I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in October! Oh, and Jenna looks like an Anthro model.
Ash and Sara’s engagement session was so great. These two very quickly became comfortable in front of the camera and had no problem having a good time. Minutes later they could turn on those sweet romantic moments, totally unrehearsed. We started out their session in South End and then moved to Latta Park which is where Ash asked Sara to marry him. And can I just say that Sara is so gorgeous. This might have something to do with my dream to have a red-headed daughter one day, but really that hair and those eyes and THAT ring. Love.
Enjoy!
If you know me at all you know that my sister and I are besties. BFF’s. forever and ever. Really, we are so close that we talk on the phone at least 27 times per day. My sweet Canaan even said to me the other day… “why you and auntie talking AGAAIINNN?” He’s two by the way.
So when my sweet nephew Phin arrived a week early, of course I hurried to the hospital to be right by Amy’s side. This labor was much MUCH less difficult than her labor with Emerson, but it definitely still had it’s moments. And of course I took pictures. A lot of them. They are below in this sweet little video I created this afternoon. We praise God for baby Phin as my boys call him, and I am so thankful to have been apart of his birth. Enjoy!

Natalie and Ryan’s details were gorgeous. Some words I would use to describe the style of their wedding is, warm yet elegant, genuine and romantic. They made use of the of deep tones and accented them with light blushes and greens to give the wedding a light but sophisticated feel. Natalie said, ” We hand picked all the different lanterns used as centerpieces and in the fireplace at several different stores throughout Charlotte. ” These personal touches were clearly seen throughout the wedding.
Natalie and Ryan, I adore you two. Let’s get together for dinner soon!

Natalie and Ryan… I may or may not be obsessed with their wedding. When I look as these images I literally cannot stop staring. Their day was a cold one but I beleive the cold only added to the wonder of the day because they got to be that much more cuddly, and we had the opportunity to use all the pretty blankets they graciously provided for their guests. Natalie choose the color Marsala as their primary color not knowing this would be Pantone’s color of the year in 2015. So fashion forward this girl.
It was also wonderful that I got to work with a dream team of vendors including their venue, The Arbors Events and Mandi from Social10 Events was their amazing coordinator. The gorgeous florals were provided by Willow Delivered and DJ Groove kept us dancing all night long.
Enjoy this gorgeous wedding and stay tuned for part 2 tomorrow!
To say that Rachel and Austin’s maternity shoot turned out great would be a serious understatement. These two are beautiful people, inside and out. I love the way these images display their love for each other and their little one on the way. I got to photograph these two with their sweet baby Liam a few weeks ago and it was perfect. Stay tuned for those images in the coming weeks.
Enjoy.
