You may remember sweet Scarlett from her 3 month session a few months ago. It is amazing how quickly babies grow and how much she had changed when I saw her again. Scarlett was sitting up like a champ and doing everything she could to get as much grass in her mouth as possible. I love to watch how a baby is discovering the world at this age. Gale and Rob are such great parents and they are quickly moving to the top of my list as some of my favorites to photograph. Enjoy this sweet family!
I had such a great time photographing the Nardone family. Avery and Addison are twin 5-year-olds and although their personalities could not be more different, I could definitely see that twin connection that people talk about. They love each other so much! Know mom and dad only hope this won’t change in the teenage years. We had great light and locations for this sweet session and the Nardone family did not hesitate to have fun together, which is what I always hope for in a session. Enjoy this adorable family!
Sam is such a cutie and I can’t beleive how fast time has flown since I shot his newborn session. He just recently turned one year old and is a ball of energy and fun like any boy should be. Enjoy this sweet session!
Newborn sessions are so priceless to me. Of course, I adore holding precious tee-tiny babies in my arms and getting them in front of my camera. But, there is something about entering a family’s home in this intimate time of bringing home a new baby that means so much to me. Mom and dad tending so carefully to such a fragile little one, siblings still getting use to being gentle and the sometime piercing cries. It means more that I can say that my clients allow me into their home at such a special time.
I was so keenly aware of these things when I entered into the Saunder’s home. Sweet Megan was born at 35 weeks happy and healthy. Her big brother Parker is such a cutie and is so great with his little sister. When I entered the home, Parker was playing with his play kitchen which is the same one I had when I was little! I immediately knew that it was going to be a great shoot and I was completely right. These 4 were a joy to photograph. Enjoy this precious family.
I had a great time photographing the sweet Ball family. Katie, Tracy, and little Levi were complete naturals in front of my camera ,which always makes my job easy. I absolutley love Katie’s style as well as how her boys were dressed. Many of my clients ask me what to wear and I always say- lots of color & accessories, color coordinate without being too matchy matchy… Their wardrobe selection is the perfect example of this!
Sweet 6 month old Levi was super loving and smiley. This is one of my most favorite baby ages. It is clear how much these two love their little guy. Katie and Tracy, thank you for letting me take a peek into your precious family, I hope you treasure these images for years to come!
I can’t beleive it has been a year since I first met Julie, Jeremy and sweet baby Maddex (who was in Julie’s belly at the time). Since then, I got to meet Maddex face to face at his newborn session and spend even more time with him as his 6 month session. Maddex is now almost a year old and has developed into a smart, and completely adorable little guy. He was so happy throughout our session, which made my job so easy!
Enjoy this precious little one. 🙂
I got the opportunity to meet the Bowden Family a couple weeks ago and they were a joy to photograph. Pat, Meghan and their sweet little Wynne (love this name!) just moved here from Colorado. Wynne recently turned a year old and started walking. I loved seeing her toddle around discovering ALL that was on the ground. My favorite kind of images are ones where you can tell just how much a family loves one another, and these are the perfect example of that.
Enjoy this sweet family!
Julie and Noah are sweet friends from college and I have loved watching their family grow in the last year. Their precious Elijah was born last January and he is the most adorable little guy! Julie and Noah are photographers as well [check out their FB page here] and they blessed us by photographing Oliver’s 1st Birthday Party (which I have not had the chance to post yet).
We planned this session just after Elijah turned 6 months old and his sweet smile was a joy to capture. This is the best time to photograph a baby. They are sitting up, smiley but not yet crawling! I love everything about this session, is this family not gorgeous?
Enjoy!
I have been a busy bee editing in order to stay caught up in preparation for Tucker baby boy #2 to arrive the first week of November. Here is a sneak peek of what’s to come (hopefully!) before he make his debut!

It has been forever since I posted about anything personal, mostly because I have been swamped with work. I am going to try to get better about it, promise! So what better place to start than my little monkey’s first birthday? Oli actually had 2 birthday parties this year. If you know me, you know that this is not uncommon at all, birthdays are a pretty big deal in our home. His first party was for him and his little friend, Adelai. You may remember that they were born on the same day and are pretty good buddies. Here is a little mini-session I did with the two of them when they were much smaller. Heather and I put a lot of work into this party and we had another photographer shoot the party. We should have those images back any time now and I will get them posted.
Oli’s second party was a really just a small get together for immediately family to celebrate. My grandmother had already bought Oliver a little Thomas the Train and he LOVES it, so we decided to gear the party around that. It was an awesome weekend celebrating our little man, the only downside was that unfortunately he was feeling pretty under the weather for both parties. He was not his outgoing self that he usually is, but I think he had a lot of fun anyway.
We love you little man! We are more thankful for you than you can ever know. I have smiled more this first year of your life than I have in all my previous 28 years combined. The Lord has used you to bring so much joy to mine and your daddy’s life.
When Oli woke from his afternoon nap, everyone was waiting for him to make his grand entrance, which he did of course on Thomas the Train. As you can see, he was pretty surprised to see everyone there. 🙂
This next moment was the most memorable part of Oliver’s birthday. I got him off Thomas and he just stood there and started walking toward me! He had never taken a step before this and had barley stood on his own. I think he was so overwhelmed by the people that he just started walking without even noticing. Within a week he was doing circles around our house. I love that I got this on camera!
A little unsure about the cake at first, but it didn’t take him long to discover how yummy it was!
I love this sweet smile.
Saying, ‘all done’!
