Ashely & Brian and completely adorable. There are so many reasons why this session is one of my favorites! The location and light was amazing, and how could anyone resist that awesome vintage truck? And on top of all that, Ashley had the wonderful idea of doing a Holi-Powder shoot at the end of the session. This was such a great time that I had to save it for a separate post, which will be revealed tomorrow so make sure to stay tuned!

So you would think since I am a photographer, my family would get their picture taken all the time, have first dibs on sessions, and get all the benefits of beautiful prints around their home. Not. The. Case. My sister, Amy had been asking me for a session with her and her husband, Brian for a LONG time and I finally got around to it on our family vacation this year. This was perfect because I obviously had no other shoots to get to and I rarely get to shoot on the beach, which was amazing!

Amy is 5 years younger than me but we are commonly mistaken as twins. This is quite the compliment since I personally think she is beautiful. My husband would say that Brian is beautiful, they seems to love each other a lot too. These two are our BFF’s these days and we couldn’t be more thankful for them. Oli also LOVES his Auntie and Uncle B!

Jaime and Chris are such a special couple to Matt and I. They are apart of our church family, in our weekly small group and just all-around awesome. They are getting married Nov. 10th of this year which just happens to be my due date, so I am obviously not able be apart of photographing the wedding. But I am praying that our sweet little one arrives just early or late enough for us to at least attend. Either way I know that the day is going to be so special. It is clear in these images how much Chris loves Jaime and vice-versa and I am so excited to see them start their life together.

Congrats, you guys! We love you!

I had such a hard time to get these two to do any kind of serious face… They always burst out laughing. It is so sweet to see how giddy they are together!

Adam and Elise are kind of like family to me since Adam is my brother-in-law’s brother (how’s that for confusing?!). They were SO easy to photograph and I love how their session turned out! I can’t wait to be able to get them behind my camera again at May wedding next year. Congrats you two!

Kristina and Krestan are two of the sweetest clients I have ever had. This made their session a total breeze and so fun. Kristina is a lover of photography herself so she came with lots of fun ideas and they were both so comfortable in front of the camera, which is always wonderful! The first field location was one of the hottest spots I have ever shot at. Krestan especially was a total champ for enduring it happily.

I had a great time with Jessica and Kyle at their engagement session! For the first half of the session, we ran around the city and stopped at various spots that I had scouted or that stood out along the way. This made for such variety in the backgrounds and locations that we had to work with and I love that. The 2nd half of the shoot was geared toward a common love that Jessica and Kyle share- sports! We started out by reenacting their first date of tailing gating before a game and finished up at the Panthers stadium. Jessica and Kyle were a little nervous about being in front of the camera at first, but I think they look like naturals in these images, wouldn’t you agree?

Jessica and Kyle, thanks for such a great time. I am so looking forward to your wedding in October!

Jessica and Kyle shared some Dales Pale Ale on their first date so I suggested they bring a couple cans along. I love it when couples incorporate their story into their session, it makes things so personal.

Kaitlin and Trey were true naturals from the first click of their session. I have actually known Kaitlin since we were both wee little ones, so it was sweet to see what a beautiful woman she has grown up to be. Her and Trey wanted some pictures for fun and to give to family and I am so happy they got in touch with me!
