I had a great time with Brittany and Tyler at their engagement session. They wanted to incorporate some of the things they like to do together, so our session included basketball, scrabble, and even a little archery. It was sweet watching these two interact together, I know they are going to make a wonderful married couple! Someone else who made an appearance in the shoot was Brittany and Ty’s dog, Buddy whom they adore and I think you will see why.

Enjoy!

If you are from N.C, you are all too family with the Duke/Carolina rivalry. I love that Brittany and Tyler are having fun with it!

Introducing Buddy…. Hard not to fall in love with this pup.

The McGinn Family are absolutely precious! Mac and Erin already have the beautiful Molly who was such a joy to hang out with, and soon they will be adding baby girl Harper to the family. It is always so fun for me to see how siblings react to a new baby and I have no doubt that Molly is going to be an awesome big sister. During their session, we discovered that my house is only about 5 minutes away from the Mac and Erin’s house so I definitely look forward to play-dates once the babies are born!

Enjoy this sweet family!

Katie and Adam are such a sweet couple and they were a joy to photograph. I could not get over Katie’s style outfit of pop color, so cute! Looking forward to your April wedding, Katie and Adam. Thanks for such a great time!

As I mentioned in Part I, Ashley had the awesome idea of doing a Holi Powder shoot at the end of their session. It was SO fun and I LOVE the way the images turned out. It is always nice to do something a little different from the norm, so if you are one of my clients and ever have a new idea, please don’t hesitate to let me know!

Enjoy these fun images, and this adorable couple!

Ashely & Brian and completely adorable. There are so many reasons why this session is one of my favorites! The location and light was amazing, and how could anyone resist that awesome vintage truck? And on top of all that, Ashley had the wonderful idea of doing a Holi-Powder shoot at the end of the session. This was such a great time that I had to save it for a separate post, which will be revealed tomorrow so make sure to stay tuned!

Thanks, Ashely and Brian for such a great time! Can’t wait for your wedding next May!

Jeremy, Julie and sweet Maddex are such a precious family! I have had the opportunity to get to know them since she was pregnant by shoot Julie’s Baby Bump session and Maddex’s  Newborn session. I can’t beleive he is already 6 months old! It is so clear how close this family is by these images and I love it. Enjoy!

So you would think since I am a photographer, my family would get their picture taken all the time, have first dibs on sessions, and get all the benefits of beautiful prints around their home. Not. The. Case. My sister, Amy had been asking me for a session with her and her husband, Brian for a LONG time and I finally got around to it on our family vacation this year. This was perfect because I obviously had no other shoots to get to and I rarely get to shoot on the beach, which was amazing!

Amy is 5 years younger than me but we are commonly mistaken as twins. This is quite the compliment since I personally think she is beautiful. My husband would say that Brian is beautiful, they seems to love each other a lot too. These two are our BFF’s these days and we couldn’t be more thankful for them. Oli also LOVES his Auntie and Uncle B!

Enjoy!

I have been a busy bee editing in order to stay caught up in preparation for Tucker baby boy #2 to arrive the first week of November. Here is a sneak peek of what’s to come (hopefully!) before he make his debut!

It has been forever since I posted about anything personal, mostly because I have been swamped with work. I am going to try to get better about it, promise! So what better place to start than my little monkey’s first birthday? Oli actually had 2 birthday parties this year. If you know me, you know that this is not uncommon at all, birthdays are a pretty big deal in our home. His first party was for him and his little friend, Adelai. You may remember that they were born on the same day and are pretty good buddies. Here is a little mini-session I did with the two of them when they were much smaller. Heather and I put a lot of work into this party and we had another photographer shoot the party. We should have those images back any time now and I will get them posted.

Oli’s second party was a really just a small get together for immediately family  to celebrate. My grandmother had already bought Oliver a little Thomas the Train and he LOVES it, so we decided to gear the party around that. It was an awesome weekend celebrating our little man, the only downside was that unfortunately he was feeling pretty under the weather for both parties. He was not his outgoing self that he usually is, but I think he had a lot of fun anyway.

We love you little man! We are more thankful for you than you can ever know. I have smiled more this first year of your life than I have in all my previous 28 years combined. The Lord has used you to bring so much joy to mine and your daddy’s life.

When Oli woke from his afternoon nap, everyone was waiting for him to make his grand entrance, which he did of course on Thomas the Train. As you can see, he was pretty surprised to see everyone there. 🙂

This next moment was the most memorable part of Oliver’s birthday. I got him off Thomas and he just stood there and started walking toward me! He had never taken a step before this and had barley stood on his own. I think he was so overwhelmed by the people that he just started walking without even noticing. Within a week he was doing circles around our house. I love that I got this on camera!

A little unsure about the cake at first, but it didn’t take him long to discover how yummy it was!

I love this sweet smile.

Saying, ‘all done’!

Amanda and Kerry’s reception was just as awesome as the ceremony! Such fun people and details to capture. I particularly had such much fun with the ring shots which is why there are 3 posted. 🙂

Make sure you check out Part One here!
